PISCES beginners’ training session 2023

Registration for the next PISCES beginners’ training session is open until 15 May 2023

Objectives : The aim of this practical session is to learn how to use the PISCES model and to explore different features and possibilities. A presentation will be given on the modelling choices, the code architecture and the main features of PISCES. You will explore the sensitivity of the PISCES model to a set of parameters on one of the ocean models, NEMO or CROCO.

Practical information :

The training will take place in Paris (LOCEAN) from 09 to 10 October 2023 (15 people max.)

Registration is open to people with an academic background in oceanography and marine biogeochemistry. Basic knowledge of the Unix environment is a prerequisite for this course. Priority will be given to master and PhD students and post-doctoral fellows.

Travel and accommodation costs can be covered by the organising committee for a limited number of people, with priority given to candidates from the South. Our ability to cover travel and accommodation costs will depend very much on the number of participants and their country of departure. More detailed information on funding will be provided once the selection of candidates has been completed.
